Jyväskylä visual artist Reijo Veijalainen graduated from the Kankaanpää art school's painting department in 1977. At the turn of the millennium, brown and earthy collages gave way to paintings and colorism took hold of the painter.

In the works, form and color control each other. Abstract imagery is created in works from the freedom of imagination. The non-figurative patterns of the color surface play in the air with the joy of aesthetics. The paintings embody a more or less random color composition. The viewer is free to interpret and freely construct a color and form narrative with their own imaginations. The artist does not ask himself what it presents, but how to present it.
